Abstract

The paper presents a step-by-step technology for determining the value impact on people representing different linguistic cultures. The research object is speech manipulation effected through the texts of Internet diaries. The research subject is the manipulation of values used by the authors of Internet blogs. At different stages of the study, the authors used various psycholinguistic techniques, including the method of free association experiment and the method of semantic differential with further interpretation of the data obtained. As a result of the study, a three-stage method of text analysis was proposed to detect manipulation of values inherent in a particular language group, and the conclusions about the suggestive nature of an Internet blog as a complex polycode semiotic object were drawn.
